Step 3: Prep Your Items

All consigned items must be CLEAN, pleasant smelling, and in WORKING order, with all their parts.

To maintain our reputation for high-quality items, we rely on you to carefully screen and clean your items. Cleaner items sell for more! We inspect everything at drop-off under bright lighting and may reject items that are recalled, overpriced, outdated, dirty, stained, or damaged. Shoppers love our high standards.

Do not laminate or cover the barcode with tape

Your price tag must be visible to to the shopper. Please make sure it is in the front top of the item.

Clothing

All clothing (including infant) needs to be on wire hangers. This includes sleep sacs and costumes. With the front of the clothing facing you, your hanger should look like a ? or number 2. When making an outfit or bundle, hang the shirt on the hanger and safety pin the pants to the top of the hanger. When just hanging pants you will safety pin the pants to the top of the hanger. Pants sizes larger than size 6, the legs need to be folded back and pinned to the top of the hanger as well. The tag should be safety pinned to the right outside side of the item. But if you are using a tagging gun use the seam or the manufacturer's tag.

Shoes

You must use a zip tie or safety pin to pair the shoes together. Please use packing tape to secure the safety pin. You can also tape the top of the tag, hole punch the tag, then put a zip tie through the tag. Be creative! All shoes can be zip tied.

Books

Please double check games and puzzles have all their pieces. Use a Ziploc bag to secure all small pieces. Use packing tape to close the top of the Ziploc bag. Check all books to make sure there are no torn, written on, or missing pages. Use painters tape to secure the box and tag. The price tag should be in front of the items where ithe shopper can easily find it.

Large Items

Large items should be out of the box and set up unless it's new in a sealed box. Do not attach the tag on the item until you are at the store. We will provide you with a large claim ticket to adhere the tag to. Then you will attach the claim ticket to your item. A large item is anything it takes you two hands to hold over your head. Large outdoor play huts are not to be built but plastic wrapped up with a photo.

All Other Items

Use packing tape to secure tags only when zip ties will not work. You will want to make sure your price tag is easly visable for shoppers to see. Likely on top of the item. Small items or multiple items should be put into a bag with the tag secured to the outside of the bag.

Make sure the bag is securely taped shut with packing tape. Do not use the tape over the barcode of the tag.
